Inspired by the Parks lecture

This lecture can be in person or on ZOOM. This is a PowerPoint presentation and if in person requires AV set up with projector and screen. In person I will bring some quilts.

I will share my inspiring journey through the national parks and how I combine photo inspiration and imagination to make graphic style art quilts. I will share funny stories, a little history about the parks and touch a little about the various techniques I use. Turned edge machine piecing, fussy piecing, silk screening and improv piecing.

My journey includes not only my travels to 53 national parks but also many other national park units including monuments, wildlife refuges, historic sites and cultural sites. Please join me to see what wonderful public lands you might be missing! Although I am known for the poster style quilts I often work in abstract and improv techniques to fulfill my vision.
